What You'll Want To Know...

This course takes you beyond basic “color wheel theory” and gives you hands-on training that connects directly to what you mix in the salon, color that has background! You’ll gain the confidence to mix, neutralize, and create shades on purpose instead of guessing or having to rely on charts.

Professional hairstylists and colorists who want to feel more confident with color formulation. Whether you’re a new stylist wanting stronger fundamentals or an experienced stylist who struggles with tricky corrections, this course is built for you.

Both. It starts with simple, guided activities that even beginners can follow, but every activity builds toward deeper understanding. Even experienced stylists tell us this kind of “active learning” finally makes the nuances of color click.

Nope! You don’t need any prior theory. This course is designed so you’ll learn by doing. If you already know basic theory, this will help you apply it in ways you’ve probably never been shown before.

Our Basics of Color Theory class is an intro to the science of color and the main ways to shift tone through the color wheel.

Our Foundations of Color Theory covers the deeper science, how to decipher your specific color line, and how to combine theory with your hair canvas and your hair color medium.

Color Mixing Theory is a companion to both. It walks you through guided activities that train your eye to see and your mind to understand how color mixes and behaves without the added nuances of hair and hair color. Once you build this foundation, moving into hair and hair color becomes MUCH easier and more predictable.

Absolutely! The activities are designed to be repeated as much as you want. Each time, you’ll deepen your understanding and see color in new ways.

You’ll get access to:

  • 9 guided video lessons (about 1 hour total).

  • The full Color Mixing Workbook (downloadable and printable).

  • Step-by-step activities that you can repeat anytime.

You’ll have 90 days of access to the course videos, giving you plenty of time to complete every guided activity and revisit the lessons as needed. The Color Mixing Workbook is yours to keep for your continued personal learning, so you can keep practicing and refreshing your knowledge long after your video access ends.
